After A Wreck, Be Careful What You Sign For The Insurance Company

My heart drops when I’m visiting with a new client and they tell me they signed paperwork for the insurance company.   I’m not sure what they signed, and they may not either!

After a wreck the at-fault insurance company will send you a bunch of paperwork to fill out. These may include authorizations so they can get your medical records and even your employment records!

Don’t sign those!  Talk to us first!

We can get all of that information ourselves without giving the insurance company blanket authority to get whatever they want.

A trick the insurance company may pull after an accident is to make an early settlement offer.  They may even send a check and release agreement to you to sign.If you cash the check or sign the paperwork, your claim is over even if you are still hurt or still have medical bills to pay.
